The annual Cycle and Sport Swap, Sell and Repair Market is back at Narrabeen this Sunday, 30 August 2026, giving locals a chance to buy, sell, swap and donate preloved sporting goods — all in one place, and all for free. Running from 10am to 2pm at Berry Reserve on Pittwater Road, the Northern Beaches Council event is a practical way to give good-quality gear a second life rather than sending it to landfill.
Whether you’ve got kids who’ve outgrown their bikes, a scooter gathering dust in the garage, or a kit bag full of sporting accessories you no longer need, this is the Sunday outing to put in your calendar. The marketplace welcomes bikes, e-bikes, scooters, balls, bats, helmets and other sporting accessories for selling or swapping. And if you’re in the market for something, it’s a solid opportunity to pick up a well-loved piece of gear without paying full retail price.
Donate, don’t dump
One of the real draws of the event is the range of donation options, making it worth showing up even if you’re not planning to buy or sell anything.
Anglicare will be on hand to accept good-quality preloved sporting equipment, as well as clean clothing and bric-a-brac. Revolve ReCYCLING takes bikes, e-bikes and scooters in any condition — whether they’re rideable or just good for parts. For the yoga crowd, LovEarth accepts yoga mats in any state for repurposing or reuse. And in a particularly handy option for surfers, Rip Curl Narrabeen will be collecting end-of-life wetsuits for recycling. Do note that all donations need to be carried in or transported on a trolley.
Get your bike sorted while you’re there
Beyond the market stalls, there’s free bike support available on the day. Revolve ReCYCLING’s mechanics will be offering 15-minute check-up and tune sessions at no cost. Pedal Set Go is also running free 25-minute sessions covering topics like riding skills, basic bike maintenance and general bike advice — bookings for these are available through the Northern Beaches Council event page.
It’s a genuinely useful perk, particularly heading into spring when more people are dusting off their bikes for weekend rides along the lagoon or down to the beach.
What to bring
The event is run as a waste-free market, so pack your own water bottle and reusable coffee cup before you head out. Entry is free for everyone.
