Three women exercising around Narrabeen Lagoon have reported alleged sexual offences, including unwanted touching by e-bike riders, with police investigating whether the incidents along popular walking and running tracks are connected.

The incidents were reported on Wednesday 7 October and Thursday 8 October 2026, during afternoon hours. Northern Beaches Police Area Command has appealed for witnesses and footage as investigations continue.

E-bike riders involved in two alleged assaults

The first incident occurred at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday, when a woman walking along Narrabeen Lagoon Trail was allegedly approached by a man on an e-bike who sexually touched her before riding away.

Police described the man as slim, wearing a fluorescent yellow shirt and dark pants.

A second woman reported being sexually touched at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday while exercising on a track near Narrabeen Lagoon. The person allegedly approached on an e-bike before leaving the area.

Police described the person as being of Caucasian appearance, aged approximately 15 or 16, about 175 centimetres tall and slim, with curly blonde hair and a red and white T-shirt.

Runner reports inappropriate sexual comments

Between the two alleged touching incidents, another woman reported receiving inappropriate sexual comments while running along the Narrabeen Lake track at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The person involved was described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 17 to 25, of medium build, with brown or hazel eyes, short spiky brown hair, sideburns and a mole on one cheek.

Police have not established whether any of the three incidents involved the same person or were otherwise connected.

Lagoon circuit connects popular walking areas

Narrabeen Lagoon’s approximately 8.6-kilometre walking and cycling circuit passes through bushland and follows sections of the foreshore, connecting recreational areas around the water.

The shared trail accommodates walkers, runners and cyclists, with wheelchair-accessible entry points from the Berry, Jamieson, Middle Creek and Bilarong carparks. Northern Beaches Council describes the route as an easy, well-formed track without steps, with shorter walking options available.

Police appeal for witnesses and footage

Investigators are seeking witnesses and anyone with information, mobile phone recordings or dashcam footage relating to the reported incidents on 7 and 8 October.

People who witnessed the encounters or have information that could assist Northern Beaches Police Area Command are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit information through the Crime Stoppers NSW website.

Information can be provided confidentially. Police have also reminded the public not to report information through NSW Police social media pages.
