Police, ambulance, fire crews and surf lifesaving teams responded to a range of incidents across Narrabeen between 14 and 19 February 2026, based on reports received by authorities during the period.
Theft And Property Offences
At about 10:15am on Saturday, 14 February, NSW Police received a report of a vehicle allegedly stolen from where it had been parked near Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
Shortly before 3:00pm on Thursday, 19 February, police were notified of property reportedly taken from a vehicle parked on Albemarle Street, Narrabeen.
Injury Response
Just after 11:00am on Saturday, 14 February, NSW Ambulance responded to reports of a cyclist who had fallen along the Narrabeen Lagoon Trail. Paramedics walked in from Jamieson Park to reach a 61-year-old woman with an injured left ankle. She was placed on a stretcher, transported back to the nearby car park and then taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
Beach Closures And Shark Sightings
Shortly after 11:30am on Saturday, 14 February, a drone operated by Surf Life Saving NSW South Narrabeen identified a shark in the water. Narrabeen and Collaroy beaches were closed for about an hour while jet-skis and Inflatable Rescue Boats were used to guide the animal away.
At around 8:45am on Wednesday, 18 February, a Surf Life Saving NSW South Narrabeen drone pilot sighted a two-metre shark off Devitt Street. Northern Beaches Council lifeguards were consulted. As the shark was a considerable distance from swimmers and surfers, no closure was ordered and the animal was monitored until it moved on.
Fire And Roadway Hazards
Just after 7:15pm on Tuesday, 17 February, Fire and Rescue NSW from Mona Vale Station attended a reported gas leak at a home on Ocean Street, Narrabeen. Crews checked the property using gas detection equipment and found no dangerous readings. The resident was advised to have the gas fittings inspected by a licensed gas plumber.
Shortly before 9:30am on Wednesday, 18 February, Fire and Rescue NSW Narrabeen Station responded to a hazard on Nioka Road. Firefighters located a concrete spill extending about 60 metres and removed the material. Northern Beaches Council was notified to arrange collection before it hardened.
Assault Report
At about 8:30pm on Thursday, 19 February, NSW Police were called to reports of a fight on Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
Several matters were recorded by authorities during the reporting period.
